Hezhou City will build a green high-end calcium carbonate transportation corridor.


Recently, the Hezhou City Transportation Construction Development Center held a preliminary work coordination meeting for the Hezhou Green High-end Calcium Carbonate Transportation Corridor PPP project, aiming to accelerate the construction of new multimodal transport corridors in Hezhou to adapt to the rapid development of the green high-end calcium carbonate industry cluster.

Recently, the Hezhou City Transportation Construction Development Center held a meeting to coordinate the preliminary work of the Hezhou Green High-end Calcium Carbonate Transportation Corridor PPP project, accelerating the construction of new multi-modal transport channels in Hezhou to adapt to the rapid development of the green high-end calcium carbonate industry cluster.

The meeting coordinated and sorted out the preliminary work of the main sub-projects of the green high-end calcium carbonate transportation corridor, including the Wanggao to Gonghui, North Ring Road, North Second Ring Road, and Xiwang to Baimianshan projects. It discussed the existing problems in the current preliminary work, explored solutions, and arranged the timeline for completion.

The Hezhou Green High-end Calcium Carbonate Transportation Corridor PPP project consists of five projects: the Wanggao to Gonghui Road, the He Fu Road Lian Tang Branch North Ring Road section, the Xiwang to Baimianshan secondary road, the Lian Tang Chang Wan to Baimianshan Road (North Second Ring), and the G207 to Electronic Science and Technology Park Road, with a total length of about 89 kilometers and a total investment of about 1.343 billion yuan. The completion of the green high-end calcium carbonate transportation corridor will greatly alleviate the transportation pressure on National Highway G207 and the G78 Shankun Expressway. By combining road and water transport, it can significantly reduce the transportation costs of calcium carbonate products, providing transportation support for the city's industrial development and energy-saving efficiency.

It is understood that the Hezhou City Transportation Bureau has planned six major corridors combining road, rail, and water transport to solve the calcium carbonate transportation problem. This includes utilizing the existing Luozhan Railway, National Highway G207, S201 from Fuchuan to Wuzhou, the Gonghui to Liubao Road, and the Majiang operation area, as well as planning new projects such as the Hejiang capacity expansion project, the artificial canal from Majiang to Wanggao, the intelligent aerial track from Wanggao to Chaojiang, the Xiaohua Ancient Road Canal, and the freight railway from Hezhou to Zhaoqing, with results expected by early 2025, and the comprehensive transportation capacity exceeding ten thousand tons.
