On December 21, Hezhou City held a press conference on the development of the calcium carbonate stone industry, reporting on the development status of the calcium carbonate stone industry in Hezhou City and answering reporters' questions on related issues.

Currently, the calcium carbonate stone industry in Hezhou City has shown a trend of multi-point blossoming and cluster development, becoming the main driving force leading the high-quality development of Hezhou City's industry and a key player in accelerating the economic and social development of Hezhou.

It is understood that the calcium carbonate stone industry chain in Hezhou City covers areas such as mining, slab and craft processing, heavy calcium powder, artificial granite, coatings, plastics, resins, machinery and equipment, and commercial logistics. From January to November this year, there were 157 large-scale calcium carbonate stone enterprises in Hezhou City, with 22 new additions. The industrial output value of large-scale calcium carbonate stone enterprises reached 16.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.2%, accounting for 22.4% of the total scale of industrial output in the city. It is expected that the industrial output value of large-scale calcium carbonate stone enterprises in Hezhou City will exceed 18 billion yuan this year, with a year-on-year growth rate of over 20%. In 2021, Hezhou City coordinated the promotion of 43 major calcium carbonate industry projects at the municipal level and above, with a total investment of 42.78 billion yuan; in 2021, a planned investment of 3.28 billion yuan was made, and from January to November, a cumulative investment of 3.393 billion yuan was completed, achieving 103.45% of the annual planned investment.

In the next step, Hezhou City will resolutely implement the new development concept, continuously strengthen efforts from promoting the implementation of planning and policies, accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading, improving technological innovation capabilities, and deepening the integration of the "two industries". The focus will be on extending the industrial chain, laying out the innovation chain, improving the supply chain, and enhancing the value chain, promoting the development of calcium carbonate stone products towards refinement, functionality, and serialization, accelerating the scale and high value of industrial clusters, enhancing core competitiveness, and striving to achieve the goal of developing a green high-end calcium carbonate industry worth 100 billion yuan as soon as possible.
